We welcomed new regular Stephen who has been incredibly enthusiastic about the alphorn and creative in writing new music and making his own horn!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The summer alphorn season started in Leavenworth, WA at the International Alphorn Festival. There were over 70 alphorn players from across North America who joined to make music for each other and the public. What a terrific event!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\">\n<p>It has been wonderful to share the melodious alphorn at many events. Adding to major life moments, Peter and Jonathon played duets at a lovely wedding reception in the hills high above Palo Alto, and Peter and Monika provided beautiful melodies for a wedding in San Luis Obispo. Jonathon played solemn songs to honor a deceased man in Truckee who was of Swiss heritage and an enthusiastic alphorn layer. What a wonderful experience and a gorgeous day! Also in Palisades we met horn professor Sadie Glass from the University of the Pacific and learned about the Alphorn course she is starting there.
